What busy (Easter) Bunnies we are!

It’s been a busy few weeks for the Family Winchurst – well, busy by our standards anyway!

We had the Girls Christening which was lovely – pictures will be up shortly, we are just in the process of gathering them up for a Gallery. It was great to catch up with lots of people that we hadn’t seen for a while – apologies if we didn’t get much chance for a really good chat…….it was a bit like getting married again – so many people to see and not enough time to get round everyone!

The weekend after saw Dan head off to play Golf on the Saturday (something he hadn’t done for AGES and so could have been disastrous but luckily wasn’t!) and Mummy took some time to catch up with some of the more domestic jobs she had been putting off for goodness knows how long! Sunday was Mothers Day and the Girls very thoughtfully provided Mummy with a fabulous breakfast and a bag of goodies that included some of her favourite choccies, some fabulous scented candles and bubble bath – the theory was that I would be able to sneak off for a relaxing soak in the bath with my candles burning……..the only slight hiccup was that we had nothing to light the candles with! I decided to postpone my bath until we could get some incendiary devices with which to light the candles – and for one reason and another I’m still waiting to have it……..with a bit of luck, I’ll manage to get splashing before Mothers Day comes round again next year!?

The weekend before last we went to Cardiff, via Upton, to see James Christopher Gunney get christened which was lovely. Whilst in Upton, and thanks to some splendid research by Aunty Jessica, we went to “Having a Ball” – an indoor play area which Isabel ADORED!! Again, pictures are coming, and you’ll be able to appreciated why, after a couple of hours of serious playing, Isabel was completely exhausted! We’ll definitely be going again – £4.50 for 3 adults and 2 under Twos to stay and play as long as we liked………a serious Billy-bargain in our books!

Last weekend was a tale of two halves – Mummy and Molly went to London to stay with Aunty Catherine and went to the Ideal Home Show in Earls Court (after taking Molly for her 1st set of injections – what a traumatic event that was!) whilst Daddy and Isabel stayed at home for some quality time together. Having barely batted an eyelid when Mummy left (isn’t great to be appreciated!?) Isabel and Daddy settled down to their dinner – Daddy thought Mummy had gone a bit crazy in the food department and had made far too much Bolognaise……..that it until Isabel went back for a 3rd helping and then it seemed that there was just enough! On Saturday, they went to play on the swings – which was a great idea until Daddy decided it was time to go home! A trip to McDonalds seemed to cheer Isabel up and then they headed home, via Tescos, with “Happy Feet” on DDD (as Isabel would say!) for a relaxing rest of day. On Sunday, Daddy very cunningly managed to locate another Indoor play area, along the lines of “Having a Ball” – again, Isabel managed to completely exhaust herself (with Daddy not far behind!) so much so that, having come to the station to pick up Mummy and Molly, she had to be carried most of the way home!

We are heading to Devon for the Easter Weekend and are hoping that we can avoid the worst of the traffic – given that this will be the longest car journey Molly has ever been on, the last thing we need is for it to take a lot longer……….hungry screaming babies do not make for a nice relaxing journey!
